Account and data deletion

This page explains how to delete your DreamVia account and your data. You do not need to sign in or fill in a form here to request deletion.

1. Delete from the app (fastest)

1. Delete all my data: Profile → Data → "Delete all my data". Everything on the phone and the encrypted backup copies on our server are permanently deleted.
2. Delete my account: Profile → Account → "Delete my account". Your account record, your encrypted backup and wrapped key are deleted; if you linked with Apple, the connection on Apple's side is revoked as well.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot reach the app (lost phone, already uninstalled), write to melberlabs@gmail.com. Include the email address you used when linking your account. We complete the request within 30 days and confirm it to you.

What is deleted

• Your account record (identifier, linked provider, email address)
• Your monthly AI allowance counter and language preference
• The encrypted dream backup and wrapped key on our server
• If you linked with Apple, the refresh token on Apple's side
• Dreams, symbols, tags and settings on your phone (when deleting from the app)

What is kept, and why

• Subscription records: purchase and refund records are kept by the App Store / Google Play for tax and accounting obligations. These live with the store, not with us, and contain no dream content.
• Dream text is not stored. When you ask for a reading the text is sent once to the analysis service; it is not kept in readable form on our server.
